This policy is valid from May 30, 2012.
This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions, and other forms of compensation. This helps me pay administrative costs including, but not limited to website hosting fees, domain fees, design and maintenance costs, workshops, and other educational opportunities. Any additional money probably supports my thrifting, Disney, or cheese habits.
The compensation received will never influence the content, topics, or posts made in this blog other than idea generation. All thoughts are my own unless otherwise stated. Some advertising may appear in the form of advertisements generated by a third-party ad network. Those advertisements will be identified as paid advertisements.
Some advertising will appear in the form of affiliate links and banners. I only support affiliate sites that I have or would use in my own personal online shopping experiences. Most gift guides include a series of affiliate links.
The way affiliate marketing works: When you click on a link from my website or social media posts, the link includes a tracking tag that will attribute your purchase to my link. I will, in turn, receive a small percentage of the sales generated by your purchase. This never affects your cost, but it does help me continue writing, creating, and adventuring.
Product placement in blog posts
I am sometimes compensated with cash or free products to provide opinions on products, services, websites, and various other topics. Even though I receive compensation for posts or advertisements, I always provide my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. Because I am human, all of my opinions, findings, beliefs, and experiences are subject to change. What I wrote in 2012, may no longer be true in 2020, but it may also be true again in 2028. Only time will tell.
More disclosure-y goodness
The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote, or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider, or party in question.
This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest.
